‘Cosi’ set for Oct. 1 – 4 in experimental actor training space
“We are thrilled to see “Cosi” as the debut production in this unique performance venue,” said Jim Hunter, department chair and artistic director. “For several years, we have used the gymnasium as a space for physical exploration in acting. It is heartening to now welcome our audiences into this very special location.”
The Center for Performance Experiment at Hamilton Gymnasium is located at the corner of Pendleton and Pickens Streets, in the Gibbes Green section of the university campus.
“Cosi” was adapted by Nowra into a major motion picture, directed by Mark Joffe and starring Toni Collete, Rachel Griffiths and Barry Otto. The university’s production incorporates dialogue from the screenplay.
Appearing in the production will be graduate students Brian Clowdus, LaToya Codner, Daniel Hill, Ryan Krause, Katie Krueger, Sonya Thompson, Lin Ying and Todd Zimbleman and undergraduate Esteban Nevarez.
