Boeing executive to speak at Carolina May 14
Marco Cavazzoni, vice president and general manager of 787 Final Assembly and Delivery will provide a preview of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner and discuss the company’s new assembly line in South Carolina at the University of South Carolina Friday, May 14.
Cavazonni will speak from 4 to 5 p.m. in Gambrell Hall Auditorium, and the talk is free and open to the public. It is being offered by the Darla Moore School of Business in conjunction with the university’s May Carolina Alumni Weekend May 14 –16.
Prior to his new post with Boeing Charleston, Cavazzoni was vice president of technical services for Boeing’s commercial aviation services division.
Other Moore School events that weekend include a panel discussion featuring female alumni who have succeeded in male-dominated industries, talks on leadership and ways to conduct job searches in a difficult economy.
May Carolina is the bookend to Homecoming, and lets colleges and schools offer events that a busy fall football weekend doesn’t allow. The weekend is open to alumni from all graduation years. While some events have fees, many are free and require only registration.
A complete schedule of events and registration information are available online at the Carolina Alumni Association Web site, www.MyCarolina.org/MayCarolina, or by calling 803-777-4111.
