Author Claire Cook hosts workshop at university
Bestselling author Clair Cook will host her Reinvention Workshop and book signing of her latest novel, "Seven Year Switch," on Thursday, June 17, 2010 in the Russell House Theatre at the University of South Carolina.
Sponsored by USC’s Continuing Education and Conferences Department, the workshop is set for 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Cook fans know her for her witty, inspiring and somewhat quirky perspective on life woven through her novels, "The Wildwater Walking Club," "Summer Blowout," "Life's a Beach," "Must Love Dogs," "Ready to Fall" and "Multiple Choice."
Her latest tome is about Jill Murray, who used to have it all: a loving husband and a promising career as a training executive. But her husband left her to raise their daughter alone, and as "Seven Year Switch" opens, her career has devolved to answering phones for a travel agency and teaching community center cooking classes. When a handsome bicycle entrepreneur becomes more than a business opportunity the same week her estranged husband asks her to take him back, Jill is forced to decide what she wants once and for all. Claire Cook fans will be enormously entertained by Jill’s can-do spirit.
The cost of the course is $35 and includes a hard copy of her newest release, "Seven Year Switch."
