Tickets still available for Hollings Library dedication

Tickets are still available for faculty, staff and students system-wide to attend the July 23 dedication of the Ernest F. Hollings Special Collections Library, which will feature remarks by Vice President Joe Biden.

Former Sen. Ernest F. Hollings and USC President Harris Pastides also will participate in the ceremonies, which are expected to draw a number of dignitaries and elected officials.

Tickets will be available at the circulation desk of the Thomas Cooper Library between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. until Tuesday, July 20. Individuals can pick up only one ticket and must present their Carolina Card to be swiped by library staff. Tickets are non-transferrable.

Admission to the July 23 event, which begins at noon at Thomas Cooper Library, requires a ticket and a photo ID. Doors will open at 10 a.m., and individuals must be in place no later than 11:45 a.m. Other guidelines will be printed on the ticket.

The ceremony also will be streamed live on the university’s website and to the system campuses. The Russell House theater also will carry the event live.
