GameDay returns to the Horseshoe
ESPN College GameDay will broadcast from the historic Horseshoe on the University of South Carolina campus on Saturday.
The game is sold out, so if you missed out on tickets, you still have a chance to show your Gamecock pride.
Poster-making supplies will be available 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday on Greene Street in front of the Russell House. Cocky and the cheerleaders will be there and “Sandstorm” will play at noon. A Cornhole Challenge will be presented by the Home Depot and Coke Zero.
USC students will be allowed to camp out on the east end of the Horseshoe between the GameDay set and the McKissick Museum from 5 p.m. on Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday. All tents and gear must be removed from the Horseshoe by 7 a.m. when the ESPN pit area opens. Students can rent tents, sleeping bags and other equipment from Outdoor Recreation.
The Russell House will be open all Friday night and port-a-johns will be located in the parking lot behind Harper-Elliott for those camping out. Barnes and Noble Café will be open until 11 p.m. Friday and the Horseshoe Deli and Freshens will be open until midnight. Pizza will be delivered to the Horseshoe at 12:15 and 2:15 a.m. Saturday morning and breakfast will be delivered at 6 a.m. Students are encouraged to show their GameDay excitement when “Sandstorm” is played.
Student Affairs staff and University Police will be onsite all night to assist everyone in having a great experience. A complete list of rules for camping out is available online.
