
Giving hair – and hope

First-year medical student Travis Muthig had been growing his hair for two years, planning to donate it to help a cancer patient. His chance came when his 12-inch pigtails were cut off by a stylist in the Russell House during the USC Beautiful Lengths ceremony Sunday. He was one of 40 Carolina students, faculty and staff members who donated their long locks to help provide free wigs for cancer patients.
