Businessweek ranks Moore School No. 1 for IB

The Darla Moore School of Business' undergraduate international business program is ranked No. 1 by Bloomberg Businessweek as part of its 2013 Best Undergraduate B-Schools rankings. The business magazine released the ranking of the top 10 international business schools today (May 6).
Additional top 10 rankings for undergraduate business specialty programs will be released by the magazine during the next few weeks. The series will culminate with the publication of the complete rankings that include 124 schools.
“Our four decade long commitment to international business education enables us to offer great depth and breadth in advancing our students' understanding of the complex opportunities and risks inherent in business globally,” says Dean Hildy Teegen. “We take great pride in developing such internationally adroit business leaders here at the Moore School.”
The Bloomberg Businessweek 2013 Best Undergraduate B-School rankings are based in part on an online survey of undergraduate business students who ranked their experience and were asked to grade specialty programs on the letter scale A to F.
For the Moore School, the ranking is just the latest affirmation of the international business program’s success. For 16 consecutive years the program has earned the No. 1 ranking in U.S. News & World Report’s 2012 “America’s Best Colleges Guide.”
The secret to the Moore School’s undergraduate international business success includes:
• a selective admissions process that caps annual enrollment at 160;
• advanced foreign language skill training;
• a semester study abroad at the world’s top business schools;
• a comprehensive international business curriculum of core and themed global business courses;
• an opportunity to participate in cohort programs in which students divide their studies between the Moore School and one of several partner universities; and
• the experience of developing business and expansion plans for actual businesses.
