USC String Project to present winter concert Dec. 4, 6

End-of-semester performances by students in the University of South Carolina’s String Project will take place Friday, Dec. 4, and Sunday, Dec. 6.

The earlier performance, “Informance,” featuring the beginning class, is set for 5:30 p.m. in the School of Music recital hall. That performance is free and open to the public.

The Sunday performance, set for 3 p.m. in the Richland District 2 auditorium, will feature students in Silver Strings 2, Concertino and Intermezzo. Tickets are $3 and available at the door.

The String Project is a model of service learning, offering low-cost instruction to children and adults in the community while offering practical experience for college music-education majors.
