UDALL SCHOLARSHIP
Workshop:  Wednesday, February 17, at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available to rising sophomores and juniors with at least a B or equivalent GPA who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment, or Native Americans and Alaska Natives who have outstanding potential and are in fields related to health care, the environment, or tribal public policy. This highly competitive scholarship provides one year of support for eligible expenses up to a maximum of $5,000. Must be nominated by the University.

ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP
Workshop:  Monday, February 22 at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available to students at all class levels who are interested in serving as ambassadors while studying issues of hunger, health and sanitation, education, and peace in any country where Rotary clubs are located.
Application Deadline to local clubs: Spring, 2010.

FELLOWSHIPS FOR GRADUATE STUDY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
Workshop:  Monday, March 15 at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
The Marshall, Rhodes, Gates-Cambridge, and Mitchell scholarships cover one to three years of graduate study at various institutions in the UK. Each competition requires applicants to have a record of superior academic achievement, record of service and leadership, and be well informed on global issues. The University must nominate applicants in all four competitions.
Application Deadline: August 2010.

GOLDWATER SCHOLARSHIP
Workshop:  Monday, March 29, at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available for rising sophomores and juniors pursuing bachelors' degrees in natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering, who have a strong GPA, research experience and a commitment to a research career. This highly competitive scholarship provides $7,500 for one to two years of undergraduate study. Must be nominated by the University.

TRUMAN SCHOLARSHIP
Workshop:  Wednesday, March 31, at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available to rising juniors (any major) preparing for a career in public service with demonstrated leadership abilities, academic achievement and potential, community service accomplishments, and a commitment to public service. This highly competitive scholarship provides up to $30,000 for graduate school. Must be nominated by the University.

NATIONAL SECURITY EDUCATION PROGRAM (NSEP)
Workshop:  Tuesday, April 6, at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available to undergraduate and graduate students interested in national security (broadly defined) who demonstrate high levels of academic performance and strong motivation to develop expertise in languages, cultures and world regions less commonly studied by Americans. This prestigious award provides up to $20,000 for undergraduates or $30,000 for graduate students.

JAVITS FELLOWSHIP
Workshop: Wednesday, April 7, at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available to students of superior academic ability with demonstrated achievements and promise who will pursue doctoral or masters of Fine Arts (MFA) degrees. These awards cover graduate study in selected fields of the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (NSF) GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP
Workshop:  Monday, April 12, at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available to students with high GPA and high GRE General scores and a commitment to a career in research. This highly competitive scholarship provides three years of support (up to $115,000) for study and research in the sciences or in engineering, leading to masters or doctoral degrees in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, behavioral and social sciences, and in the history and philosophy of sciences.
Application Deadlines vary according to discipline in early November, 2010.

FULBRIGHT GRANT
Workshop: Wednesday, April 14, at 4 p.m., Honors Residence Hall, Room B110
Available to rising seniors and graduate students who articulate a well-defined program involving study, research or teaching English to be carried out in a particular international academic setting for one year. Fluency in the host language is preferred, and an appreciation for cross-cultural exchange and a strong background in American Culture and current events of the host country are critical in selection.
