The National Council offers at least 35 scholarships each year. Recipients receive $3,000 in their junior year. Consult USC ALD Chapter advisor for details. ALD Trow American Association of University Women Educational Foundation Fellowships AAUW offers international fellowships for women of countries other than the US, and the dissertation, professional degree, and postdoctoral fellowships for American women who have provided distinction or promise in their fields of scholarly work. Application deadlines range from November to December. AAUW American Chemical Society Undergraduate Fellowships American Chemical Society Undergraduate Fellowships are available to African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and American students who demonstrate: high academic achievement in chemistry or science and evidence of financial need (according to FAFSA form). High school seniors, or college freshman, sophomores, and juniors who intend to, or are already, majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible. American Chemical Society Undergraduate Fellowships American Meteorological Society American Meteorological Society presents scholarships available to undergraduate and graduate students, and minorities who are interested in pursuing careers in meteorology, climatology, hydrology, and oceanography. American Meteorological Society American Psychological Association Scholarships The American Psychology Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) and the American Psychological Association (APA) sponsor a number of scholarships that support students and researchers at the graduate, undergraduate, pre-doctoral, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels. American Psychological Association Scholarships American Occupational Therapy Foundation Scholarship Scholarships are offered to occupational therapy students at the associate, baccalaureate, post-baccalaureate certificate, professional master's, post-professional master's and doctoral degree levels. Scholarships, ranging in value from $150 to $5,000, are available for occupational therapy students by applying to the American Occupational Therapy Foundation. All applicants must be U.S. Citizens, be members of the American Occupational Therapy Association, and be enrolled full-time if pursuing their first occupational therapy degree. Students in post-professional graduate programs may be part-time students. American Occupational Therapy Foundation Scholarships American - Scandinavian Fellowship The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $18,000) and grant (normally $3,000) to individuals to pursue research or study for a well-defined research or study project that makes a stay in Scandinavia essential. Applicants must have completed their undergraduate education by the start of the project. Priority is given to candidates at the graduate level for dissertation-related study or research. American-Scandinavian Fellowship The Blakemore Foundation The Blakemore Foundation was established to encourage the advanced study of Asian languages and to improve the understanding of Asian fine arts in the United States. Provides several different types of language grants. The Blakemore Foundation Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan The US-Japan Bridging Foundation awards scholarships to US undergraduate students for one semester or academic year in Japan. The Foundation aims to expand the opportunities for study abroad in Japan to help prepare America's young people to assume future global leadership roles. Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Fellowships Each year the Endowment offers 8-10 one-year fellowships to uniquely qualified graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. Carnegie Junior Fellows work as research assistants to the Endowment's senior associates. Students who have started graduate study are not eligible. Applicants must be nominated by the University in the fall semester. Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Fellowships Carpe Diem Foundation Scholarships The Carpe Diem Foundation Scholarship is open to undergraduate students who have completed no more than their junior year and have demonstrated outstanding achievement, exceptional leadership ability, and a serious commitment to community service. Priority among equally qualified applications will be given to students whose parents are employed in education, government, social services, public health, the administration of justice or the fine arts. Carpe Diem Foundation Scholarships Computational Science Graduate Fellowship Funded by the Department of Energy, Office of Defense Programs and Office of Science, this fellowship is for undergraduate seniors or first or second year graduate students planning full-time study toward a Ph.D. in the physical, engineering, computer, mathematical, or life sciences. Computational Science Graduate Fellowship The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Scholarships For Latino students who have a history of performing public service-oriented activities in their communities and who plan to continue contributing in the future may apply for these scholarships. Students with excellent leadership potential are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be US Citizens. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Scholarships  The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management is an alliance of fourteen schools of business in partnership with corporate America, working to facilitate the entry of minorities into managerial positions in business. The Consortium recruits college-trained African American, Hispanic American, and Native American United States citizens and invites them to compete for merit-based fellowships for graduate study leading to a Master's Degree in Business. The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management Critical Language Scholarships for Intensive Summer Institutes Critical Language Scholarships for Intensive Summer Institutes are part of a U.S. government interagency effort to expand dramatically the number of Americans studying and mastering critical need foreign languages. Scholarship recipients - U.S. citizen undergraduate, Master's and Ph.D. students and recent graduates - receive funding to participate in beginning, intermediate and advanced level summer language programs at American Overseas Research Centers and affiliated partners. Critical Language Scholarship Program Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholars Program The Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship awards will be made to students who show exceptional promise and intend to pursue a first graduate degree full time. The award will fund tuition and fees for the scholar's graduate or professional degree, and will include a stipend based on reasonable expenses and demonstrated need. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholars Program DAAD Awards DAAD grants for study and research in Germany are available to faculty and students in Canada and the United States. Scholars participate in a wide variety of academic activities to promote international academic relations and cooperation. Application deadlines vary. DAAD Awards Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Fellowships Environmental Protection Agency's offers fellowships for undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level students in environmentally related fields of study. Note the different fellowships offered below: EPA Science To Achieve Results (STAR) Fellowships for Graduate Environmental Study The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of its Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program, is offering Graduate Fellowships for master's and doctoral level students in environmental fields of study. EPA Marshall Scholarship Program In recognition of the global nature of environmental challenges and the need to pool the resources of many nations to solve environmental problems, EPA has joined with the United Kingdom's Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission, which has been administering the esteemed Marshall Scholarship since 1953. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Fellowships Ford Predoctoral Diversity Fellowships The Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation's college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. Approximately 60 predoctoral fellowships are awarded, providing three years of support for graduate study leading to a researched-based Ph.D. or Sc.D. in specified fields. All citizens or nationals of the United States regardless of race, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, or sexual orientation are eligible to apply. Applications are due in November. Fellowship Programs Foster Scholarship Program The Foster Scholarship is open to those currently pursuing or intending to pursue a masters or doctoral level degree in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology, including the curation, preservation, and display of maritime artifacts. Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Through the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners supports the education of collegiate accounting and criminal justice students who may become Certified Fraud Examiners in the future. Fraud Examiners - Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship The Freedom Forum - NCAA Sports - Journalism Scholarship Program The Freedom Forum, through a grant to the NCAA, supports eight $3,000 scholarships to college juniors who have career goals in sports journalism and major in journalism or have experience in campus sports journalism. The program assists deserving full-time students in their final year of study and is designed to foster freedoms of speech and press while promoting quality sports journalism education at the collegiate level. The Freedom Forum Freeman-ASIA Program Encourages American undergraduates to study in East and Southeast Asia. Priority is given to students with no previous experience in the country in which they plan to study. Freeman-ASIA Program Fulbright Grants Fulbright Grants are available to graduating seniors and graduate students who present a clear program of study to be carried out in a particular academic setting abroad. The grant allows students to conduct research or advanced study, or undertake teaching assistantships, for one year in a foreign country. Candidates must be evaluated by a USC committee for nomination early in the fall semester. Fulbright Program Gates Cambridge Scholarship Program Gates Cambridge Scholarship Program is an international competition open to every country in the world except for the United Kingdom. Candidates are expected to have evidence of continued academic excellence as well as references that are able to speak knowledgeably and clearly about the applicant's performance and potential. Applicant's may need to undertake a GRE exam, and must be admitted to Cambridge through the university's normal application procedures. Application materials are due near the end of October. Gates Cambridge Scholarship Program GEM Fellowships National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science The GEM Fellowship programs are designed to offer opportunities for underrepresented minority students to obtain MS degrees in engineering and Ph.D. degrees in engineering and the natural and physical sciences through a program of paid summer internships and graduate financial assistance. GEM Fellowships Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad Gilman Scholarships expand opportunities for study abroad for students whose demonstrated financial need might otherwise preclude them from such an experience. The program recruits a diversity of participants and encourages participation by students in a broad range of fields of study in a wide range of countries. Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad Glamour Top Ten College Women Glamour's Top 10 College Women Awards spotlight college women from across the United States with an annual competition that recognizes leadership, involvement on campus and in the community, excellence in your field of study, and unique, inspiring goals. Each winner receives $2,000 cash prize, a trip to New York, opportunities to meet with top professionals in a variety of fields, and national recognition in the magazine. Glamour Top Ten College Women Golden Key Graduate Scholar Award gives twelve $10,000 scholarships used for post-baccalaureate or professional study at accredited institutions of higher learning (does not have to be in the US or have a Golden Key chapter). Judging criteria include academic merit, campus/community/work commitments and significant involvement in local Golden Key chapter. Recipients must plan to enroll in graduate school in the fall of year received. Members do not have to be a U.S. citizen; member can apply up to five years after graduation; applicants may continue to re-apply as long as they are eligible, but previous recipients may not re-apply. Golden Key Scholar Awards Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship in Science, Math, and Engineering Sophomore and junior students pursuing a bachelor's degree in the natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering and intending to earn a graduate degree in these fields and pursue a career in research and/or college level teaching are eligible to apply. Application materials are available early in the fall semester. Students may not apply directly for the scholarship but must be nominated by the institution. Goldwater Scholarship Government Accounting Scholarship Awards for undergraduate and graduate students preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Government Accounting Scholarships Frannie and John Hertz Foundation Fellowships Fellowships support postgraduate study for excellent students who are likely to become leaders in scientific and technological advances, exemplary teachers in the applied physical sciences, and key contributors to the technological capability on which the nation's well being depends. Applications must be submitted to the Hertz Foundation in late October. Hertz Foundation The Harvey Fellows Program The Harvey Fellows Program seeks to encourage Christian graduate students to integrate their faith and vacation and pursue leadership positions in strategic fields where Christians tend to be under-represented. The program provides financial support to Christian graduate students who possess a unique vision to impact society through their fields and are pursuing graduate studies at premier institutions (top five) in their disciplines in the United State or abroad. Fellowships are not awarded for study at theological schools or for non-degree or part-time graduate programs. Applications are due in late October. Harvey Fellows Program The Institute for International Public Policy (IIPP) Fellowship Program The IIPP Program provides underrepresented minority college students with summer policy institutes, a study abroad experience, intensive language training, internships, graduate study, and student services. Program begins the summer after sophomore year, and applications are due the spring semester of a student's sophomore year. Institute for International Public Policy Fellowship Program Insurance Scholarship Foundation of America The Insurance Scholarship Foundation of America - NAIW Education Foundation scholarships are available to all students majoring or minoring in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science who are completing their sophomore year or higher and have successfully completed or are currently enrolled in two insurance, risk management, or actuarial science courses. Insurance Scholarship Foundation of America Jacob K. Javits Fellowship Javits Fellowships provide financial assistance to students of superior ability, as demonstrated by their achievements and exceptional promise, to undertake study at the doctoral and masters of Fine Arts (MFA) level in selected fields of the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Applications are due in early fall. Jacob K. Javits Fellowship Knowles Science Teaching Fellowship Teaching fellows who have received a Bachelor's or advanced degree in science, engineering or mathematics who now want to teach high school science and/or mathematics. The Fellowship supports them professionally and financially for up to five years through a teacher preparation program to eligibility for tenure. Knowles Science Teaching Fellowship James Madison Fellowship These fellowships support the graduate study of American history by aspiring and experienced secondary school teachers of American history, American government, and social studies. Fellowships fund up to $24,000 of each Fellow's course of study toward a master's degree. The program must include a concentration of courses on the history and principles of the United States Constitution. Applications are due in February. Madison Fellowship Marshall Scholarships A highly competitive scholarship, the Marshall provide for two years of study at a university in Great Britain. Candidates must have superior academic ability, a record of service and leadership and be will-informed on global issues. Candidates must be evaluated by a USC committee for nomination in early September. Marshall Scholarships George J. Mitchell Scholarships George J. Mitchell Scholarships are for students interested in studying in Ireland. Mitchell Scholars are expected to have a record of academic excellence, leadership, and extracurricular interests as well as exhibit personal characteristics of honesty, integrity, and personal service to others. Candidates must be evaluated by a USC Committee for nomination in early September. George J. Mitchell Scholarships Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship Awarded to upper-division undergraduates or graduate students of public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration (with a specific focus on government or nonprofit management). Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship NASA Space Grant Funding Opportunities for Graduate and Undergraduate Students The South Carolina Space Grant Program supports undergraduate and graduate research opportunities in the space sciences and related fields with various programs. Each year, undergraduates and graduates have the opportunity to participate in research during the summer and/or throughout the year in ongoing projects sponsored by NASA. The different programs are listed below: The Graduate Student Research Program Graduate students must submit a research proposal for a NASA-related project to be conducted over a 12-month period. The Undergraduate Research Program SC Space Grant will award up to 10 undergraduate awards for either summer or academic year NASA-related research project for 10 weeks. The Kathryn Sullivan Science and Engineering Fellowship Program awards one fellowship every year to an exceptional undergraduate student. The Pre-Service Teacher Awards SC Space Grant will award up to 5 students (graduate and undergraduate) $2,000 studying mathematics or science education. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program Eligible undergraduates studying oceanic, environmental, biological, and atmospheric sciences, mathematics, engineering, remote sensing technology, physical and social sciences including geography, physics, hydrology, geomatics, or teacher education that support NOAA's programs and mission are encouraged to apply in the spring semester. Scholarships are for the junior and senior years and include a 10 week paid summer internship. NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program National Federation for the Blind The National Federation of the Blind has the largest scholarship program for legally blind post-secondary students in the country. The Federation grants thirty scholarships annually to legally blind persons in higher education from college freshmen to doctoral candidates ranging in value from $3,000 to $12,000. National Federation for the Blind National Italian American Foundation The National Italian American Foundation awards scholarships and grants to outstanding students who are either Italian American students or students from any ethnic background majoring or minoring in Italian language, Italian studies, Italian American studies or a related field. National Italian American Foundation NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP) offers competitive scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research. Disadvantaged background means that your financial aid office has certified you as having "exceptional financial need" (EFN), as defined by the Federal Government. Applications are due in late February. NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program NIH Medical Research Scholars at Oxford and Cambridge The NIH, and Oxford and Cambridge Universities in Britain, have established a collaborative graduate program in biomedical sciences for students interested in combining the Ph.D. program with a MD from a US medical school. For further information see: University of Oxford - NIH Program Cambridge University - NIH Program National Physical Science Consortium Graduate Fellowships for Minorities The National Physical Science Consortium is offering graduate fellowships, open to all eligible students, with special consideration given to underrepresented minority groups and females physical science and engineering students. National Physical Science Consortium National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowships NSF awards are for study and research in the sciences or in engineering leading to master's or doctoral degrees in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, behavioral and social sciences, and in the history and philosophy of sciences. Applicants must have a high GPA and high GRE scores in the General Test and the Subject Test in the field most closely related to their chosen area of graduate work or the area of their greatest or most relevant expertise. Students apply directly to NSF in early November. National Science Foundation National Security Education Program (NSEP) NSEP supports outstanding undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate high levels of academic performance and strong motivation to internationalize their education by developing expertise in the languages, cultures, and world regions less commonly studied by Americans. Applicants must be evaluated by a University committee in late December or early January. Undergraduate Scholarships Graduate Fellowships Phi Beta Kappa The Walter J. Jensen Fellowship is awarded for at least six months of study in France. Applicants must be a current member of Phi Beta Kappa and must have earned a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year institution. They must demonstrate superior competence in French, according to the standards established by the American Association of Teacher of French. Preference may be given to members of Phi Beta Kappa and educators at the secondary school level or above. Phi Beta Kappa Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowships The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program provides undergraduate and graduate funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service. Pickering Foreign Affairs Undergraduate Fellowships Roothbert Fund The Roothbert Fund was created to provide support to persons motivated by spiritual values (no emphasis on any particular form of religious practice or worship), and is given to a wide range of careers but preference is given to those considering a career in education. Please note The Roothbert Fund does not make grants except to applicants whose current or permanent address is located in one of the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, or North Carolina. Roothbert Fund Rotary International Scholarships Scholars serve as ambassadors abroad while studying for one academic year. Any country where Rotary Clubs are located is considered. Preference is given to those with fluency in language of host country (non-English speaking). All class levels are eligible to apply. Applicants must apply through a local Rotary Club during the spring semester. Rotary Foundation Rhodes Scholarships A highly prestigious and competitive scholarship, the Rhodes recognizes altruism and superior intellect. The scholarship provides for two years of study at Oxford in any field. Candidates must be 18-23 years old, have senior standing, superior academic ability, a history of service and leadership, be well-informed on global issues and proven physical vitality. Candidates must be evaluated by a USC committee for nomination in early September. Rhodes Scholarship Scotland USA Graduate Scholarships Scotland USA Graduate Scholarships are awarded by the British Council Scotland to graduating seniors who want to pursue full time masters programs, either taught or research, at one of 17 Scottish universities, with the opportunity to live and work in Scotland for two years after graduation. Scotland USA Graduate Scholarships Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship Program The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship Program invites college graduates to apply for full-time, six-to-nine month Fellowships in Washington, DC. Outstanding individuals will be selected to work with nonprofit, public-interest organizations addressing peace and security issues. Applications are especially encouraged from candidates with a strong interest in these issues who have prior experience with public-interest activism or advocacy and accepted twice a year. Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship Program William E Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose for Graduating Seniors The William E. Simon Fellowship is designed to encourage students as they complete their undergraduate education to pursue lives that will benefit themselves and their fellow men and women. Awarded to graduating college seniors who have demonstrated passion, dedication, and high capacity for self-direction, and originality in pursuit of a goal that will strengthen civil society. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose Soros Fellowships for New Americans Thirty Fellowships are awarded annually for up to two years of graduate study in the United States. To be eligible you may be a resident alien, have been naturalized as a US Citizen, or are the children of two parents who are both naturalized citizens. A successful candidate will give evidence of at least two of the following three criteria for selection: (1) creativity, originality, and initiative, demonstration in any area of his/her life; (2) a commitment to and capacity for accomplishment, demonstrated through activity that has required drive and sustained effort; and (3) a commitment to the values expressed in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The application and selection process will take place in the late fall and winter. Soros Fellowships For New Americans South Carolina Tax Council Several scholarships are given each year in $500 and $1,000 increments to accounting students attending South Carolina Colleges, Universities, Junior Colleges, or Technical Colleges. SC Tax Council Taiwan Scholarship Program The purpose of the Taiwan Scholarship Program is to encourage promising students from foreign countries to pursue their studies in Taiwan and to enhance educational and academic exchange. Taiwan Scholarship Program Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honorary Fellowships Members of Tau Beta Pi with excellent academic records are encouraged to apply for this fellowship which is provided to advance the interest of the engineering profession. Tau Beta Pi Graduate Fellowships Tau Beta Pi Undergraduate Scholarships Undergraduate Theological Scholarship The Fund for Theological Education's Partnership for Excellence is an ecumenical effort to identify, inspire, and nurture outstanding college undergraduates and first-year seminary students pursuing vocations in ministry and theological scholarship. Together with seminaries, churches, non-profit organizations, students, ministers and professors, Partnership for Excellence encourages excellence and diversity in the next generation of leaders for the church. The Fund for Theological Education Truckload Carriers Association Truckload Carriers Association selects deserving students affiliated with the trucking industry to receive college scholarship money. Any college junior or senior who is the child, grandchild, or spouse of an employee or an employee of a trucking company or independent contractor affiliated with a trucking company is eligible. Students pursuing transportation and business degrees will be given special consideration Truckload Carriers Association Harry S. Truman Scholarships The Truman solicits juniors to apply for this very competitive scholarship. Successful applications will possess superior academic ability and a strong record of service and leadership (especially campus, community volunteer work) and be planning a career in public service. Truman Scholarship Foundation Tylenol Scholarships Tylenol Scholarships are available for undergraduates and graduate students who are pursuing studies in a variety of health-related fields. Applications are due in the spring semester. Tylenol Scholarships Morris K. Udall Scholarships Sophomores and juniors with excellent academic records and demonstrated interest in, and potential for, careers in the fields of environmental public policy, health care, and tribal public policy may apply for this scholarship. Udall Scholarship UNCF Merck Undergraduate Science Research Scholarships The United Negro College Fund, Inc. and The Merck Institute For Science Education Research Laboratories have established scholarship awards for outstanding African American students pursuing studies and careers in the field of biomedical science, education, and research. Fifteen awards will be made to rising juniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, African Americans, majoring in life or physical sciences interested in biomedical research (professional and engineering majors are not eligible). Applications are due in December. UNCF Merck Undergraduate Science Research Scholarships U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowships DOD Fellowships are awarded to increase the number of citizens trained in disciplines of science and engineering of military importance. These highly competitive fellowships are awarded to individuals who have demonstrated ability and special aptitude for advanced training in science and engineering. US Department of Defense (DOD) National Defense Science & Engineering Fellowships U.S. Department of Energy Graduate Fellowships The Department of Energy (DOE) sponsors a variety of fellowships for students beginning or about to begin graduate study in the sciences at selected American universities. Fellowships are offered in the following field: applied health physics, civilian radioactive waste management, environmental restoration, fusion engineering, fusion science, health physics, industrial hygiene, and nuclear engineering. GRE scores are required for complete applications. Applications for each program are due in late January. US Department of Energy Graduate Fellowships US Department of Homeland Security Undergraduate Scholarships for Rising Juniors Scholarships are for students in their junior year (apply in your sophomore year). Applicants must be majoring in the physical, biological, social and behavioral sciences including science policy, engineering, mathematics, or computer science. One off-campus internship at a DHS-designated facility will be required. Graduate Scholarships Graduate applicants must be pursuing a research-based graduate degree in the physical, biological, social and behavioral sciences including science policy, engineering, mathematics, or computer science. However, in some fields, those pursuing a research-based terminal master's degree may be supported. Students pursuing MBA, MD, and JD degrees are not eligible. Graduate Fellowships are for three years and include tuition, fees, and stipend. Applicants for both competitions must have careers goals aligned with the mission and objectives of the US Department of Homeland Security, be a US citizen and civilian and non-active duty military personnel only. US Department of Homeland Security Whitaker International Fellows Program The Whitaker International Fellows Program awards year-long grants to students with a BS or MS in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, or a demonstrated commitment to the field of BME to study at an institution abroad within three years of their graduation. Demonstrated language ability for the proposed country of study and a nomination letter from the Biomedical Engineering Department are required. Application deadline is early February. Whitaker International Fellows Program Wooddy Actuarial Scholarship The Wooddy Scholarship is awarded annually to college seniors who have successfully completed at least one actuarial examination, rank in the top quartile of their class and are nominated by a professor at their school.
