Creating an Account
1. Visit https://scholarcommons.sc.edu/.
2. Select “My Account” from the top tool bar. From the log in page, click the “Sign up” button below “Create new account
3. Carefully enter and submit the requested information. You will be sent a confirmation email. Click the link provided to activate your account.
Submitting Your Thesis
1. Visit https://scholarcommons.sc.edu/.
2. Select “My Account” from the top tool bar. Log in with the previously created email address and password.
3. After logging in, from the toolbar on the left, select “Submit Research” under the “Submissions” header.
4. Scroll down the page. Under the header “USC Columbia” then under the sub header “Honors College,” Click “Senior Theses.” This will lead you to the metadata entry page for your thesis.
5. From the metadata entry page, fill out the requested information as possible. Be sure to include keywords and subject categories to ensure that your work is optimized for discovery. Keywords should represent the major concepts of your work. Your research will be permanently archived, so please include exact information and use proper capitalization.
6. Towards the bottom of the page, under the “Upload Full Text” header, select “Upload file from your computer.” Upload your thesis from your files.
7. Closely check your metadata and file contents. Once you are satisfied that the information is correct, select the “Submit” button to finalize your submission.
