Application Process

Students planning a pharmacy career often begin in the two-year pre-pharmacy program and then apply to the Pharm.D. program. The admissions criteria and application process for each program varies.

Pre-pharmacy program admission is handled through Undergraduate Admissions for the University of South Carolina. Upon admission to the university and declaration of a pre-pharmacy major, you’re admitted into the College of Pharmacy’s pre-pharmacy program. Once accepted into the pre-pharmacy program, the University of South Carolina will designate pre-pharmacy students as B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences majors.

Professional candidates must first meet the admissions criteria and then apply for admission into the program. The College of Pharmacy admissions committee evaluates all applications.
