USC Brain Health
USC Brain Health operates out of the USC School of Medicine Columbia along with the USC Office of the Vice President for Research.
Through the creation of partnerships with existing health systems, the USC Brain Health Network is establishing sites statewide to screen people for Alzheimer's Disease and related
dementias. We currently have 5 clinics — the first of many to come statewide — as part of the Brain Health Network, which is providing services to people with cognitive
health concerns in historically underserved areas.
The USC Brain Health Network exists to ensure South Carolinians statewide have access to timely, quality memory
care services. We provide essential patient, caregiver and community support.
1.4M South Carolina's population is aging quickly. By 2030, we will have about 1.4 million
people aged 65 and older. USC Brain Health was formed to provide memory screenings,
evaluation and support statewide to meet the needs of this growing population.
