Winter Session

Take accelerated online courses over your winter break to catch up, get ahead or stay on track for graduation.

Winter Session 2023-2024: Dec. 26, 2023 - Jan. 15, 2024

Enjoy the convenience of self-paced online learning from home and earn three credit hours by taking an online accelerated Winter Session course. You can expect to spend about 35 hours per week on classwork.

Register for Winter Session

Registration opens in the fall at the same time as spring classes and can be completed at the same time.

  1. Log into your account on my.sc.edu.
  2. Choose the Student tab.
  3. Click on the Registration section.
  4. Select "Browse Classes."
  5. View Spring 2024 classes.
  6. Choose Advanced Search.
  7. Select Part of Term “Columbia Winter Session.”
  8. Pick your class and click on "Add" to add it to your schedule and summary.
  9. Click on Submit in the bottom right-hand corner to finalize your registration.

*Students enrolling in Winter Session classes may only register for a maximum of 4 credit hours. If students are enrolled in more than 4 hours, students will be administratively dropped from courses after the Winter Session Registration deadline.
