NIH: NIDCD Early Career Research(ECR) Award (R21 Clinical Trial Optional) PAR-18-487The NIDCD Early Career Research (ECR) Award (R21) is intended to support both basic and clinical research from scientists who are beginning to establish an independent research career. It cannot be used for thesis or dissertation research. The research must be focused on one or more of the areas within the biomedical and behavioral scientific mission of the NIDCD.
USC may only submit only one NIDCD Early Career Research Award (ECR) application by a PD/PI per due date. Note: Applicants will be considered ineligible for this funding opportunity if they submit an R01, R03, R15 or any other R21 application, with NIDCD as the primary IC, for the same review cycle that the NIDCD ECR Award (R21) application is submitted.
Your application submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a standard NIH formatted biosketch and a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by Jan 19, 2018 or May 18, 2018 or September 14, 2018 depending on the application date (see next paragraph). .
