HHS: NIH Director's Early Independence Award (DP5 - Clinical Trial Optional)RFA-RM-18-010The NIH Director's Early Independence Award supports exceptional investigators who wish to pursue independent research essentially directly after completion of their terminal doctoral/research degree or end of post-graduate clinical training, thereby forgoing the traditional post-doctoral training period and accelerating their entry into an independent research career.
USC may submit only two applications in response to this program announcement. Your application submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by July 20, 2018. In addition to the 2-page abstract, you should also submit a biosketch for the PI.
