This FOA supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The overarching goal of the NIH MOSAIC UE5 program is to support educational activities that encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds, for example those from groups underrepresented in the biomedical sciences, to pursue careers as independent researchers at research-intensive academic institutions.

USC may only submit only one application in response to this program announcement. Your application submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by October 7, 2019. In addition to the 2-page abstract, you should also submit a biosketch for the PI.

NIH indicates that a letter of intent is NOT REQUIRED and a completed application is due by November 15, 2019. For more information: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-19-342.html
