Mary Kay Foundation: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (ovarian, uterine, breast or cervical cancer)

The Offices of Research and Corporate and Foundation Philanthropy are pleased to coordinate an internal call for proposals to the Mary Kay Foundation.

The Mary Kay Foundation is a non-profit public foundation, which focuses on funding research for innovative grants for translational research in ovarian, uterine, breast or cervical cancer.

Translational research is broadly defined as research that will provide a scientific link between laboratory research and the clinic. Ultimately, such research would lead to improvement in diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, or treatment of the cancer.

Only one grant application will be accepted from each accredited invited institution.

The Principal Investigator must be a tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenured Associate/Full Professor. Research/clinical faculty and postdoctoral trainees are not eligible.

The grant will be up to $100,000 (combined direct and indirect costs) for a two-year period. If indirect costs are requested, they cannot exceed 15%. The Foundation anticipates funding between ten and fifteen grants.

To respond to the internal call, please submit a 2-page research description and an NIH-formatted CV to Beth Herron in the Research and Grant Development Office at 777-2885 or bherron@mailbox.sc.edu by December 3, 2019 at 5 pm.

Mary Kay Foundation deadline is Friday, February 7, 2020.
