The Offices of Research and Corporate and Foundation Relations are pleased to coordinate an internal call for proposals to the Mary Kay Ash Foundation.  The Mary Kay Ash Foundation is a non-profit public foundation, which focuses on funding research for innovative grants for translational research in ovarian, uterine, breast or cervical cancer. Translational research is broadly defined as research that will provide a scientific link between laboratory research and the clinic. Ultimately, such research would lead to improvement in diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, or treatment of the cancer. Only one grant application will be accepted from each accredited invited institution.
The Principal Investigator must be a full-time Assistant Professor or higher. Research/clinical faculty are eligible; PIs must commit at least 5% effort to the project.
The grant will be up to $100,000 (combined direct and indirect costs) for a two-year period. If indirect costs are requested, they cannot exceed 15%. The Foundation anticipates funding between ten and fifteen grants.

Submission Process

Limited submissions MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research.

If interested in applying for this opportunity, email a two-page project abstract, include at top the project title, PI, and list of key collaborators, as well as a 2-3 page CV/biosketch for the PI (SCiENcv preferred) by 5pm on the INTERNAL DEADLINE above to Julie Morris at
