South Carolina Resident Scholarships
University and state awards are available for freshmen who reside in South Carolina.
UofSC offers a wide range of scholarships for both residents of South Carolina and nonresidents that can make your education even more affordable.
The University of South Carolina will be test-optional through the spring, summer and fall 2023 terms. This applies to general university and South Carolina Honors College admission, as well as merit scholarships awarded by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Applicants of each class compete among themselves for available awards, so averages shift from year to year. Actual award criteria are set annually based on the size and strength of the applicant pool and the availability of scholarship funding.
Note: SAT and ACT scores represent the averages for those who chose to have their scores considered in the admission process.
