This collection consists chiefly of administrative and program files, 1949-1960. Administrative
files include bylaws, board minutes, financial records and membership lists. Program
files contain correspondence, reference and other material on local, state and national

- jail and chain gang labor, 1950-1954 [which the League considered along with the Council for Spartanburg County, whose bylaws are present in this file]
