USC Sumter reopened for in-person classes on August 20, 2020. Face coverings are required on-campus and social distancing is encouraged among members of the campus community. The semester will be offered in an accelerated format, with in-person instruction ending on Nov. 24. In addition, classes will be held on many traditional holidays and breaks to allow for the semester to end earlier than usual. Classes will be held remotely on General Election Day (Nov. 3), Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Fall break will also be cancelled with face-to-face instruction being held on Oct. 15-16. Student ID's and Parking Passes

These instructions are for new and returning students that need a new or replacement student I.D. card.  
Returning students: if you have a student I.D. card, you do not need a new one unless yours is not working. 
Due to COVID-19, our process has changed and is subject to further changes.
Students MUST complete the steps below before they can pick-up their I.D. and parking pass (if you need a parking pass).  


  1. Approve your card holder agreement and upload a photo for your student I.D. in your Self Service Carolina account. Watch this tutorial video if you need help. Once your photo is approved, complete step #2. 
  2. Make an appointment to pick up your I.D. and parking pass
  3. At the appointment time, meet on the patio of the Student Union Building (SUB). Bring an official picture I.D. with you to the appointment. 
  4. Wait on the patio. A Student Life staff member will bring out your I.D. and parking pass. Please allow 5 minutes for pick-up, but call 803-938-3796 if you have not received your card from a staff member within that time.

Reminder:  For campus and community safety, wash your hands, always wear a mask on campus, social distance, and stay home when sick.
