Kudos for Recent Awards

 

Congratulations to Kate Davis for her new NSF Award:  "Deciphering Glacial-Interglacial Changes in Oxygen Minimum Zones Using Deep-Dwelling, Low-Oxygen Planktic Foraminifera”.  It started May 1 and is for $201,064.  Kate will be leaving us in late summer for a fellowship at Yale, so this will keep her busy here and at Yale.  Congratulations Kate!
 
Carol Boggs has received an ASPIRE grant entitled:  "Development of Molecular Tools for Comparison of Drosophila and Lepidoptera Signaling Pathways Involved in Nutrient Sensing” for $15K starting July1.  Congratulations Carol!
 
Gabby Herrin with advisor Duke Brantley received a Magellan Scholar award:  "A Shallow Non-Invasive Geophysical Technique in a Wetland Environment Displaying Fe-Plaque” for $3000.  Way to go Gabby!
