Professor Carol Boggs has just learned that she has been elected President-elect for 2024, to take office in 2025 as President of the Society for the Study of Evolution:
This is a major society for evolutionary biologists and is home to the journals Evolution and Evolution Letters, jointly with the European Society for Evolutionary Biology. Between them, Evolution and Evolution Letters are leading international journals in the field.

You can see from the roster of past presidents in that article that Carol is joining one of the most distinguished cohorts in her field.
This is a great distinction for her, the SEOE, CAS, and USC.
