Aidyn Iachini Inducted to the National Academies of Practice

The National Academies of Practice (NAP) has announced that Aidyn Iachini, PhD, MSW, LSW has been elected as a Distinguished Fellow in the NAP for Social Work. The Class of 2023 Fellows were welcomed into the NAP during an awards and induction ceremony held in Washington DC on April 1, 2023. 

Iachini is the College of Social Work’s Interim Associate Dean for Research and a scholar in mental health programs and interventions for schools and the workforce. Her induction is the second for the College of Social Work.  

Fellowship in the NAP is an honor extended to professionals who have excelled in their field and are dedicated to furthering interprofessional practice, scholarship and policy in support of interprofessional care. The NAP’s mission is to advance interprofessional education, scholarship, research, practice and public policy ad serves to educate, inform and engage its members, facilitate collaborative scholarship and research opportunities and to advocate the value of interprofessional practice to improve healthcare and policy. 

“I was honored to learn I was selected as a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice (NAP) in Social Work and recognized for my expertise in interprofessional collaboration related to mental and behavioral health care,” said Iachini. “I am excited about the opportunity this holds to continue to influence research and policy in healthcare.”  

As an alliance of professions transforming health and well-being, the NAP is comprised of other health science fields including allopathic and osteopathic medicine, athletic training, audiology, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, podiatric medicine, psychology, respiratory care, speech-language pathology, and veterinary medicine.
