Steven Cote joined the College of Social Work as a recruitment coordinator in 2018. He is responsible for generating leads and prospects for the Bachelor and Master of Social Work programs through in-person, off-campus and online presentations. Cote also supports the college by establishing partnerships with the university’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions and The Graduate School.
Cote has extensive experience in recruiting and admissions. He was a regional recruiter at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, where he generated leads and applications for high school and summer camps and assisted with open houses and auditions for prospective students. As director of admissions at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics in Hartsville, South Carolina, Cote identified and recruited gifted students while overseeing the admissions and selection process for STEM high school students. He has also worked in admissions at Western Carolina University and Francis Marion University.
Cote earned her bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in Spanish and philosophy from Francis Marion University.
