57th Annual USC ART Auction April 11
Numerous works of art made by faculty and students at the University of South Carolina will go to the highest bidders at the 57th Annual USC Art Auction.
The event is scheduled from 7-10 p.m. on April 11 in the Campus Room of Capstone House. A preview party is scheduled for 6 p.m. The art will be on display beginning at 1 p.m. that day for public viewing. The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.
This years event will feature auctioneers Larry Hembree, Executive Director of Trustus Theatre, R. Scot Hocman, Education Associate for Visual and Performing Arts SDED, and Robert F. Lyon, Professor of 3D Studies at USC.
The auction is sponsored by the department of art in the university's College of Arts and Sciences. Proceeds from the auctioned works are divided between the artists and the university's art scholarship and gallery fund. Credit cards and checks will be accepted.
