Housing changes sign-up process

University Housing is changing the way students sign-up to live on-campus for fall 2013 and the office wants to ensure that current Columbia campus students know their options. Faculty and staff should be aware of these changes to help students understand how to sign-up for housing.

Beginning on Nov. 1, University Housing will begin accepting online interest forms for on-campus housing through Living and Learning Communities, as well as for students whom prefer to live in a general community.

The interest form is a new, quick and easy initiative that allows students to find out their options for on-campus housing without paying the $150 advance fee. Students can simply complete an interest form for the preferred community prior to Dec. 1. By Feb. 1 they will know if they will be awarded on-campus housing in a specific residence hall for fall 2013/spring 2014.
