Bio
Mandy Fang joins the School of Music as a Research Assistant Professor, having come
most recently from Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, where she held the position
of Composer-in-Residence and Assistant Professor of Music.
Hailed as “inventive and breathtaking” by New York Times critic Steven Smith, Fang
Man's original concert music has been performed worldwide by notable orchestras and
ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra new Music Group, under the
baton of Esa-Pekka Salonen, American Composers Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra,
Britten-Pears Orchestra (UK), National Orchestre de Lorraine (France), Minnesota Orchestra,
Peabody Symphony Orchestra, and Music from China, among others.
