HRSM students searching for ‘Love Story’ 6.0

A University of South Carolina class on wedding planning and management is searching for the next “love story.” The chosen couple will receive a free wedding, planned and executed by students in HRSM362.

This spring semester marks the sixth “Love Story” wedding put on by professor and professional wedding planner Annette Hoover’s class, and students are busy searching for the perfect couple. Every aspect of planning the wedding, from selecting the wedding invitations, the venue, flowers, catering and even the rings, will be in the hands of the students.

To be eligible, applicants must be students, alumni or children of alumni of the University of South Carolina.

Couples can apply by submitting an application essay in 500 words or less, accompanied by a photo or a two-minute video essay on why they should be chosen to win “A USC Love Story” wedding. Interested couples should send their application/video to until Feb. 10.

The couple will be able to invite up to 100 of their friends and family to celebrate the big day at 701 Whaley St. on Sunday, April 17.

Interested applicants can also find “USC Love Story 6” on Facebook. For more information about HRSM 362 and “A USC Love Story 6,” contact Annette Hoover at
