USC Professional Education Programs expand options
The University of South Carolina is expanding its professional education offerings this fall to help local and regional residents enhance their career skills.
The programs include the online Six Sigma and Paralegal Studies Certificates and the new Project Management Certificate. The Paralegal and Six Sigma Certificates will be offered fully online.
The first fully online Paralegal Certificate Program will begin Nov. 7. An online information session highlighting program details, career benefits and industry facts is planned for 6 p.m. Aug. 31.
The inaugural online Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate program will begin Aug. 29 and can be completed in two months. The next complimentary information session for Six Sigma certifications will be held Aug. 17 at 6 p.m.
USC will also introduce the Project Management Certificate. It will be offered Nov. 14 – 17. The four-day intensive program fulfills the 35 hours of training required to sit for the PMP® certification exam.
USC’s programs do not have minimum requirements or other prerequisites for enrollment. Tuition and fees may vary by program. Continuing Education student loans are available to those who qualify. The Paralegal and Six Sigma programs are also eligible for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding. USC admissions counselors are available to help future participants identify which programs may be right for them.
