When ESPN’s College GameDay took over the Horseshoe this weekend, a sister network visited campus and Columbia for a special show that airs at 6:30 and 11 tonight (Oct. 9).
ESPNU’s “Road Trip” came to the famously hot city alongside the rest of the ESPN crew to get an inside look at USC and Gamecock traditions. The show takes viewers inside the traditions, bands, music, nightlife, athletes, food spots and hangouts surrounding college football.
While in Columbia the crew stopped by the McCutchen House, run by the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, and other iconic places on the USC campus. They show also stopped by Columbia’s First Thursdayevent on Main Street. They picked up a bow tie from Britton's and tailgated Gamecock-style in a Cock-a-Boose. And, the crew was on the sidelines for the game, snagging interviews with Ric Flair, Darius Rucker, Connor Shaw and Marcus Lattimore.
