USC Symphony presents opera singer Janet Hopkins


The USC Symphony Orchestra presents renowned mezzo-soprano Janet Hopkins at the Koger Center for the Arts stage at 7:30 p.m. November 16. Hopkins also is an assistant professor of voice in the School of Music

A pre-concert talk with Hopkins will begin at 6:45 p.m.

The program includes Listen Now, My Children, by Samuel Jones; Songs of a Wayfarer, by Gustav Mahler; and Symphony in C minor, Organ, by Camille Saint-Saens.

Hopkins is a 16-year veteran of the New York Metropolitan Opera and has performed around the world. She made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera during the 1991–92 season and continues to entertain opera lovers across the country.

USC Symphony is supporting Marine Toys for Tots this season. Guests are encouraged to bring a new and unwrapped toy as a gift to the concert.
