TRIO Programs to offer financial-aid workshop
The University of South Carolina TRIO Programs and partners will offer a free financial-aid workshop Saturday, March 5, for persons interested in attending college or who are currently enrolled.
Students are encouraged to pre-register online at www.collegegoalsc.org to be entered to win a free iPod Touch. All attendees will receive a free t-shirt.
The “College Goal South Carolina” workshop is set for 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the BTW auditorium at 1400 Wheat Street on the USC campus. The workshop is designed to provide financial-aid information and assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Financial-aid experts and volunteers will help parents and students with financial-aid paperwork for any college or university and provide information about financial-aid options and eligibility for grants and scholarships. Participants should bring a 2010 federal income-tax return.
“College Goal South Carolina” is a collaborative effort of the University of South Carolina TRIO Programs, the South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.
