Patrick Moore, a former leader of Greenpeace who now advocates for commercial nuclear power production, will visit USC as part of the nuclear energy program's seminar series in the College of Engineering and Computing.

Moore is a co-founder (with Christine Todd Whitman) in 2006 of Clean and Safe Energy (CASEnergy). The organization's website, www.casenergy.org, says its "mission is grounded in the recognition that nuclear energy can enhance the economic well-being of all Americans, ensure cleaner air quality and improve energy security."

Moore will speak on Wednesday, May 16, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Learning Center of the Green (West) Quad, 451 Sumter St.
