Two offices earn recognition for young alumni campaign

The University of South Carolina’s offices of Annual Giving and Publications and the Pursuant Group have been recognized by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education for a campaign that highlights philanthropy by young alumni.

Presented in Atlanta, the Grand Award for Educational Fundraising and Direct Mail recognizes the Face of Y’all campaign, which is credited with increasing the university amount of donations and number of young alumni donors. Since 2008, the campaign has been highlighted in numerous publications, including Currents magazine, Successful Fundraising, Showcase of Fundraising Innovation and Inspiration and Advancing Philanthropy.

Giving to Carolina from the graduates of the last decade is up 36 percent in dollars and 18 percent in donors compared with this time last year. The second year of this campaign starts this spring. The Pursuant Group is a Dallas, Texas-based Communications company.
