The tournament includes range balls, lunch, cart, greens fees, promotional items, and liquid refreshments during the match. Prizes include Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Team Low Score for both Carolina and Clemson. As a special treat again this year, the Hole-in-One contest, sponsored by Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union, has a $5,000 cash grand prize. Other prizes for the Hole-in-One Contest include a golf vacation at PGA West, Palm Springs, California; a set of Ben Hogan Apex Plus irons; and two roundtrip domestic airline tickets from American Airlines.
Billed as "the states largest combined Carolina and Clemson indoor tailgate party," the Big Wednesday evening event will include a DJ with dance music and games, valuable door prizes, and the "Gaudiest Gamecock" and " Tackiest Tiger" contests, and appearances by both the USC and Clemson mascots.
Golf tournament registration is $60. The field is limited to 108 players. Tailgate party tickets for golfers and their guests are $10. Advance tailgate party tickets for non-golfers (purchased by Nov. 9, 2001) are $12.50; the tickets will be $15 at the door. Tickets for children between 6 and 12 are $5; children under 6 are free.
