| Paul Beasley, director of USCs TRIO Programs, has received the Walter O. Mason Award from the Council for Opportunity in Education, a non-profit organization that works with colleges and universities to help low-income aspirants enter and graduate from college.
With funding from the University and the U.S. Department of Education, the TRIO Programs provide information and assistance that increase college attendance and completion rates for students from poor and working-class fam-ilies. The Mason Award celebrates excellence in the advancement of educational opportunities for low-income and under-served students.
