Nominations are being accepted for the Michael J. Mungo Undergraduate Teaching Awards, to be awarded this spring. The intent of these awards is to recognize and reward excellence in undergraduate teaching at USC.
The awards are open to all full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty who teach undergraduate students, including those who are candidates for, or who have already received, other teaching awards.
Of the five $2,000 Mungo teaching awards, three are designated for faculty members in the colleges of Liberal Arts and Science and Mathematics. The remaining two will be awarded to faculty members who teach undergraduates in the other colleges.
The deadline for nominations is Dec. 12.
Nominees will be notified and asked to provide specific information by Feb. 6, 2004. Winners will be recommended by the University Faculty Committee on Instructional Development under the supervision of the Provost, who will make the final selection for the awards.
