Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative serving those in the higher education community, will open its newest location at 4480 Rosewood Drive in Columbia on Sept. 14.
The grand opening celebration on the site of the former Quincys Steakhouse near Rosewood and Garners Ferry Road will provide an opportunity for existing and potential members to meet the credit union staff and to see the new branch, which is strategically located for students and faculty of the USC School of Medicine and Midlands Technical College.
The new 10,932 square foot, two-story brick building offers full financial services, including vault-safe deposit boxes, mortgage loans, and financial planning, and features a childrens playroom. It also has four drive-up lanes and a drive-up ATM.
Carolina Collegiate President and CEO Anne Shivers said the Rosewood Drive area is important to the credit union because it is home to its newest members, Midlands Tech and the USC School of Medicine. This new building will allow us to better serve our members, not only with additional convenience, but also with continued quality services.
The credit union serves more than 14,000 members, including employees, faculty, staff, students, and retirees of USC and its regional campuses. It also serves the Gamecock Club, Carolina alumni, Coastal Carolina, and other approved groups within the higher education community.
