| USC students and members of the Columbia community will perform two free concerts at the School of Music in July and August.
The performances will feature Mass by Robert Schumann, and Benedicite by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Directed by Larry D. Wyatt, music, the concerts will begin at 4 p.m. July 31 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2.
The performances are free and open to the public and will be held in the Recital Hall of the School of Music building.
The concerts, part of USC's summer classes, are becoming a Midlands tradition by inviting members of the Columbia community to perform with undergraduate and graduate class members.
"It's quite wonderful to see our undergraduate students interacting with our singers, some of whom are in their 70s," says Carol Krueger, associate director of choral studies at USC.
