Five South Carolina writers will sign copies of their recently published books during a special celebratory reception at the South Caroliniana Library from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 29.
The reception, hosted by the University's South Caroliniana Society, will feature books available for purchase (cash or check only) and refreshments. Individuals planning on attending the event are asked to RSVP to Ann Troyer at 7-3131 or troyera@gwm.sc.edu.
The writers are: John Hammond Moore, Carnival of Blood: Dueling, Lynching, and Murder in South Carolina, 1880-1920; Vennie Deas Moore with William Baldwin, Home: Portraits From the Carolina Coast; Kate Salley Palmer, Growing Up Cartoonist in the Baby-Boom South: A Memoir and Cartoon Retrospective; Miles S. Richards, Remembering Columbia, South Carolina: Capital City Chronicles; and Elizabeth Cassidy West, The University of South Carolina.
