Presentations by MSNBC primary anchor Rita Cosby, '89; Sara Wardrip Armstrong, '94, '99 master's, director of the White House Visitors Office; and Ed Wax, chairman emeritus of Saatchie& Saatchi Worldwide, will highlight the College of Mass Communications and Information Studies fourth annual I-Comm Week April 16-20.
The week will spotlight the accomplishments of the college's two schools: the School of Journalism and Mass Communications and the School of Library and Information Science.

"I-Comm is for information and communication, the twin pillars of our college," said Dean Charles Bierbauer, noting that events will include speakers, awards, and special events for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.
Cosby, primary anchor of MSNBC Investigates and the Rita Cosby Specials Unit, will speak on a topic to be announced from 2 to 3:15 p.m. April 17 in Amoco Hall of the Swearingen Engineering Center. Armstrong will speak on "An American Experience: The Principles of Producing Public Events at the White House," from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. April 16 in the Coliseum CEO. And Wax will discuss "Business Ethics, Truth in Advertising: The Ultimate Oxymorons?" from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. April 18 in the Coliseum CEO.
Other events in the week's activities include winners of the Taylor Tomlin Award for Investigative Journalism receiving their award on April 19 during the college's Honors and Awards Night; winners of the Cocky Award for Best Super Bowl commercial receiving their award on April 17; and the School of Library and Information Science Dean's Lecture on current issues and future trends in library and information science education April 19.
