Navigating Student Health Services
Help is available 24/7 for emergencies, urgent care and students in crisis.
Each student can access their medical records, schedule appointments and securely message with their provider through their MyHealthSpace portal.
Advocates are available 24/7 to students who are subjected to interpersonal violence. Call 803-777-8248 or drop in during open hours.
Mental Health Initiatives
Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training will:
- Teach students the warning signs of a suicidal person and early signs of depression.
- Assist students in gaining confidence in how to respond.
- Educate students about the resources available at the University of South Carolina.

Faculty and staff can be pivotal in providing resources and support to students who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Counseling and Psychiatry offer Communiy Support Meetings when instances of loss or tragedy occur. These facilitated conversation that take place in a location selected by the affected community and are structured to provide a safe place to talk about what has occurred and how community members are reacting to the event.

TAO includes over 150 brief, effective, educational sessions covering over 50 common topics and skills related to mental health, wellness, and substance use issues and is free for all UofSC students.
Interpersonal Violence
Drop in for a consultation or call 803-777-8248 to get help empowering and supporting a survivor. We can also connect you to resources and guide you through being supportive if you have to submit a report to the university. We are a confidential resource and cannot discuss anything about a specific survivor or incident without a signed release from the survivor.

Office of Organizational and Professional Development
Green Zone training is sponsored by the Student Success Center and trains participating faculty and staff at the university on the unique issues faced by military-affiliated students and identifies resources available to assist them.
Safe Zone training is sponsored by Multicultural Student Affairs and builds safe space across campus by visibly identifying students, staff and faculty who support the LGBTQ+ population. The program also offers educational and ongoing engagement opportunities for UofSC community members to explore and understand issues related to the LGBTQ+ community.
