Background

MAJ Kala Brady commissioned in 2007 with Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from The Pennsylvania State University, branching Signal Corps.  
MAJ Brady’s prior positions include: Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Battalion Maintenance Officer in the 58th Signal Battalion and Battalion S6 at the 505th Quartermaster Battalion in Okinawa, Japan, Battalion S6 at the 82nd Sustainment Brigade, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, deployment as a Cultural Support Team Leader with 75th Ranger Regiment to Afghanistan, Detachment Commander at 112th Signal Battalion – SOCSOUTH in Homestead, FL, Brigade S6 and CND Manager at 780th Military Intelligence Brigade in Fort Meade, MD, and Brigade S6 at 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division in Schofield Barracks, HI. 
Her formal military education includes the Signal Officer Basic Course, Signal Captain’s Career Course, Cultural Support Team Qualification Course, Joint Cyber Operation’s Planner Course, Brigade S6 Course, Command and General Staff College (CGSC), Airborne School and certifications in Special Operations Combatives Level 1, Network+, Security+, CEH, and CISSP.
Her past awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold), and several foreign jump wings.
MAJ Brady lives in Lexington, SC with her wife, Karina, and their daughter, Mackenzie.
