Beginning on January 25, 2018, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will implement a new policy requiring that clinical trials must be submitted to a funding opportunity announcement (FOA) or request for proposal (RFP) that explicitly states that it will accept clinical trials. This change is intended to enhance stewardship of research involving human subjects.
