Accountability Groups

Accountability Groups meet weekly throughout the semester and are facilitated by Peer Leaders in the Student Success Center. They are designed to connect you with your peers and provide a dedicated time to work toward your academic goals. Options are available for both undergraduate and graduate students. 

Accountability Groups meet weekly for 120 minutes throughout the semester and are facilitated by Graduate Success Consultants. Accountability Groups are designed to create a dedicated and intentional space for focused individual work while helping you practice productive habits and connect you with other graduate students across campus. 

Previous graduate students have used Accountability Groups for: 

  • Completing coursework 
  • Reading for literature review
  • Writing dissertation chapters
  • Studying for comps, qualifying exams, or licensure 
  • Conducting job searches 
  • Grading for assistantships 

Register for Spring 2026 Graduate Student Accountability Groups

Accountability Groups meet weekly for 90 minutes throughout the semester and are facilitated by Peer Coaches. Accountability Groups are designed to help you learn and practice productive study habits, connect you with your peers, and provide a dedicated time to work on individual tasks. 

Previous undergraduate students have used Accountability Groups for: 

  • Completing assignments
  • Focused study sessions  
  • Finishing work for Incomplete classes 
  • Writing large senior projects, like GLD portfolio or Honors thesis

Accountability Groups May Be a Good Fit For You If:

  • You want dedicated time to work toward your academic goals
  • You struggle with focus, motivation or procrastination 
  • You would benefit from a collaborative community of dedicated peers

Please note: Accountability groups are designed to be a semester commitment. Group members are expected to attend their assigned group meeting time each week or to communicate ahead of meetings when you need to miss for extenuating circumstances. Consistent attendance is key to the group's overall success.
