Daniel Aleksiejczyk

As the Coordinator of Early Alert Initiatives, Dan oversees many of our partnerships with staff offices and faculty across campus, and mediates the alerts submitted to the Student Success Center to help get students connected with their services. He also oversees the Carolina Advantage Program, which supports First-Gen students at UofSC.

Lauren Brown

As the Assistant Director of Early Alert & Intervention, Lauren oversees the department's early alert & intervention initiatives, including all SSC alert & progress report processes, the Peer Consultant Program, and the Money Management Program. She also manages all SSC related workshop and special event requests.

As the Coordinator of Peer Tutoring, Allison oversees the tutoring program within the SSC, which includes supervising all peer tutors, program assistants/mentors, and a graduate assistant dedicated to peer tutoring.

Patricia Davis

As the Business Manager, Patricia manages the day-to-day operations of the Student Success Center. She is the primary contact for all staff on matters relating to budget management, human resources, payroll, and purchasing.

As the Coordinator of Academic Engagement, Kimberly oversees academic engagement initiatives for the SSC. This includes the SophoMORE Initiative, domestic study away initiatives including the National Student Exchange, faculty-student interaction programs, and variety of other office programs.

As the Coordinator of Peer Writing & Communications, Josh supervises the Student Success Center's Peer Writing Tutors, to ensure that they have all the tools they need to help their fellow Gamecocks develop into confident and independent writers.

As a Graduate Assistant for Supplemental Instruction, Ryan advises and supports SI Leaders as well as helping with scheduling, tracking, and monitoring the SI Sessions. He also creates and implements the Bi-Weekly Staff Meeting curriculum and assists in tracking weekly payroll.

As the Coordinator of Peer Consultants, Ben supervises 40 Peer Consultants that work with over 15 different campus partners to identify at risk students and provide a personalized game plan tailored for their personal academic success. He also chairs the SSC Party Planning Committee.

As the Coordinator of Supplemental Instruction, Chris supervises the Supplemental Instruction program, which consists of approximately 100 staff members, including two Graduate Assistants, undergraduate administrative assistants, and Supplemental Instruction Peer Leaders.

As Assistant Director for Peer Learning, Scott oversees the Peer Tutoring Program, Supplemental Instruction, and Peer Writing Program. He also coordinates Peer Leadership initiatives such as recruiting new Peer Leaders, training those students, and making sure that their role is an experiential learning opportunity.

As a Graduate Assistant for Supplemental Instruction, Katie helps to supervise the Student Success Center's Supplemental Instruction Leaders. She handles all session scheduling and oversees SI Leader recognition.

As the Coordinator of Marketing and Communications, Makayla oversees the marketing efforts for all Student Success Center services and programs. She is the sole creator of any visuals, including digital and print marketing materials, that are used to represent the SSC. Makayla also manages the Student Success Center website and all SSC social media accounts.

As the Coordinator of Gamecock Gateway, Morgan's role includes coordinating communication with current and incoming students, maintaining relationships with key campus partners, and promoting student involvement. The entire Gamecock Gateway team also assists with orientation programming and individual success coaching.

As the Coordinator of Financial Literacy, Rachel oversees the Student Success Center's Money Management Program. The Money Management Lab is located on the first floor of Columbia Hall, and is where students can go to talk about budgeting, student loans, credit, and any money-related questions they may have.

As the Director of the Student Success Center, Dana leads a collaborative team in planning and executing programs which support student academic success, persistence, and graduation from the university. She works closely with academic colleges and offices in assessing their needs for program assistance and responding as appropriate by offering student success programs.

As the Gamecock Gateway Academic Support and Intervention Coordinator, Christy supports Gamecock Gateway students academically throughout their time in the program, simultaneously laying the foundations for future success at UofSC . She also oversees peer tutoring in Bates House.

As the Front Desk Manager, Cheryl is the first person you’ll interact with at the SSC, as she receives students and visitors upon their arrival, guiding them to available resources. She oversees the Out-to-Lunch program, hires our Peer Leaders, and handles Travel for the staff.

As the Assistant Director for Transfer and Population Specific Support, Andrea manages all services and oversees the program support for Transfer Students, Student Veterans and Out of State Students. As the Director of Gamecock Gateway, She also manages the overall operation of the Residential Bridge Program between the University of South Carolina and Midlands Technical College.
