Transfer Student Success is your one-stop-shop for navigating campus life. This can include one-on-one consultations, student organizations for transfer students, and knowing which services and offices on campus to connect to and utilize on your pathway to educational success.

Visit the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to learn more about the process of transferring to the university. If you are admitted, we will meet you at orientation.

Admissions for Gamecock Gateway students planning to transfer to UofSC are also handled by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

We know how confusing the transition to a new university can be. That is why the Student Success Center has specific services for transfer students.

National Transfer Student Week 

National Transfer Student Week (NTSW) October 21-25, 2019 is a weeklong celebration of transfer students and the professionals who support them on their journey to degree completion.

The purpose of National Transfer Student Week is to build awareness of common transfer barriers, challenge assumptions, build empathy, and instill transfer pride.

Tau Sigma is a national honor society designed exclusively to "recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students”. Stop by and get more information about this organization.

Mutual Expectations (Academic Integrity and Technology in the Classroom)

An informal and informative conversation about technology and academic integrity in the classroom. In this workshop, students and faculty will explore common expectations when it comes to the ever-increasing use of technology and how that impacts integrity on the college campus in the 21st century.

Create a Thank You Card

Is there a faculty or staff member who has assisted in your transition to the UofSC? If so, why not stop by the Student Success Center and write them a thank you card to show your appreciation. Cards will be available for you to complete at the Student Success Center.

 Tau Sigma Honor Society

Tau Sigma is a national honor society designed exclusively to "recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students”.

Tau Sigma membership is by invitation only.

If you are a transfer student to the UofSC Columbia Campus, was enrolled in 12 or more credit hours during your first semester, and have achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher during  your first semester, be on the lookout for an invitation to join Tau Sigma.
