Mrs. Ashmore has been teaching Spanish for more than thirty years. She began her career teaching at the high school level and in 2009 joined the University of South Carolina system as an Adjunct Instructor at UofSC Upstate. In 2018, she joined the faculty at UofSC Union where she teaches on multiple campuses, including Union, Laurens, and Clinton High School. In addition, she uses beaming technology to teach on multiple campuses at the same time. Mrs. Ashmore believes that a truly educated person has at least a passing acquaintance with a language other than their own and she has a passion for sharing her knowledge of Spanish and Hispanic culture with her students.
